Welcome to my website. My name is Ray Laverty, a former Mechanical Engineer, originally from Ireland but now living in Austria. I have been working as a freelance ESL teacher, translator, proof-reader, copy writer, youth trainer, tournament manager and consultant in Austria for almost 20 years now. In addition to that I serve as the Secretary General of the International Council for Educational Media (ICEM), a global organisation that strives to foster the proper use of media in education.
Are you are interested in learning English? I teach all age groups, in a variety of different industries such as Engineering, Communication, Marketing, Financial, Medical, Military, Holiday, Exam Preparation, Interview Preparation and Just-for-fun! Most lessons are face-to-face, but of course I also provide online tutoring via Skype, Zoom and Google Classroom.
